All grades are busy finishing up art work for the Art Show next month. Most grades were able to choose from a few works of art. The snow days presented a challenge for a few grades to complete more than one work of art. Thirteen different projects will be displayed at the show on April 10th! Make sure to mark your calendar. It will be a great show with art works worthy of hanging in your living rooms! More information will come concerning prices of frames and time of the show.
Weaving, pinch pot fish, polar bears and tree faces
After completing very humorous pinch pot fish, 2nd graders are now busy weaving on a cardboard loom. After weaving with paper last month they were ready to move to a cardboard loom and weave with yarn. How quickly they pick up new skills!
4th grade just finished up these amazing polar bear portraits. They had so much fun creating a background of Northern Lights in chalk pastel and they were amazed at how realistic their polar bear faces turned out. Look for some of these pieces in the art show.
And finally, make sure you look for the 5th graders face tiles hanging in the trees outside Mt. Bethel. Cold weather was keeping these amazing faces from being displayed, but now that spring is in the air, more art projects will move outside!
